ECCI Calls for Co-Creation!!!

The 10th European Conference for Creativity & Innovation (ECCI X) October 14-17 in Copenhagen is calling for contributions: Case stories, toolbox presentations, problems for our Crack the Nut workshops, hosts for our Creative Reflection Zones and weird stuff…

Join a truly international event...

Currently, 224 persons have used the online registration for ECCI X, covering almost the entire globe, all the way to New Zealand, which is as far as you can get from Copenhagen. 35 countries from all continents are represented so far. So, our vision of gathering 4-500 global trendsetters from the field of creativity and innovation seems to succeed.

Call for contributions, It's now!

The purpose of every ECCI conference is to facilitate co-operation and cross-fertilization between academics, businesses and educators in the field of creativity & innovation. Therefore, besides the academic “paper jam” sessions, the conference hosts a variety of sessions where the participants are invited to contribute in order to share experiences and develop knowledge across disciplines.

The final deadline for submissions is June 1st, but we strongly recommend you to submit your proposal as soon as possible, since we review these continuously. We call for:

  • (Academic and Practical) Problems - to be presented and discussed in the Crack the Nut Workshops.

  • Hosts – each Creative Reflection Zone needs a host. Each host facilitates a process of group reflection in between the many sessions at the conference - "How can I use what I have learned? - What is the SO WHAT?"

  • Cases – short presentations of concrete projects and extraordinary examples of creativity and innovation in action.

  • Toolbox presentations. Please share your favourite tools and methods by demonstrating them interactively! – send a description of your favourite tool and how you would like to demonstrate it.

  • Weird Stuff! – does what you have in mind not match any of the contribution formats above? Then submit anything you like to the Weird Track.

Read more about the various session types at the website www.eccix.org , under “Call for contributions”, where you also can find the submission form and see who is in the review committee. We had the first submission deadline by March 1st, and we received 40 proposals, which are currently being looked upon.

Please pass on this request to your network!

March 1st, we had the final deadline for academic paper abstracts. We are proud to announce that 75 abstracts have been submitted – this really raises our expectations for the conference. The academic paper abstracts are currently being reviewed.

The theme

The theme of the conference embraces many aspects of creativity and innovation with a special focus on “co-creation” – when development becomes a collective process, in which the boarders between customers, users and developers are dismantled.

The team behind

The ECCI conferences are initiated by the European Association for Creativity & Innovation (EACI). ECCI X is arranged by the Danish Initiative for Creativity & Innovation (IKI), Copenhagen Business School, Zentropa WorkZ and the Danish Design Centre. Contact person: Project manager Merete Ettrup, Copenhagen Business School, e-mail me.ivs@cbs.dk.

Kindest, creative & innovative regards,
